Attempted murder suspect arrested after running over deputy, prompting multi-county chase

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – Police arrested a male suspected of main officers on a multi-county chase immediately after they say he run in excess of a Cross County deputy.
Jonesboro law enforcement stated the chase begun at 6:55 p.m, Tuesday, June 21.
Cross County Sheriff David West stated the deputy tried to arrest the suspect at a Jordan’s Kwik Shop in Cherry Valley.
The suspect was needed for attempted murder out of Forrest Town, according to West.
He stated the deputy was upcoming to the driver’s side door of the vehicle. The suspect then threw the motor vehicle into reverse, dragging the deputy across the parking great deal and into a car or truck having gas.
In accordance to West, the deputy had insignificant accidents.
The incident then led to a chase, spanning across Poinsett and Craighead County.
Poinsett County deputies tried to end the motor vehicle, but they were being unsuccessful.
Jonesboro police said the suspect was in the southern section of Jonesboro, going more than 100 mph in a darkish blue Jeep Renegade with destruction on the driver’s side.
In accordance to Jonesboro law enforcement, officers misplaced the suspect, who went by means of the intersections of Stadium Boulevard and Parker Road, as effectively as Stadium Boulevard and Fox Meadow Lane.
At 9:15 p.m., Jonesboro law enforcement reported the suspect’s vehicle was identified, and a large police existence unfolded at Dewey Road.
At 9:55 p.m., Sheriff West claimed the suspect was arrested.
No names have been recognized in the incident.
