Bob Latham of Texas-based Jackson Walker Appointed Chair of Human Rights Group ARTICLE 19

DALLAS, TX—Jackson Walker media law and intellectual property litigator Robert “Bob” Latham has been named chairman of the board of ARTICLE 19, an international organization that promotes freedom of expression and freedom of information.

The London-based NGO takes its name from Article 19 of the United Nations’ Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Mr. Latham is a nationally recognized trial lawyer, based in Dallas, with expertise in media law and IP litigation who chairs Jackson Walker’s media law practice. In addition, he is a published author and frequent speaker on matters related to the rights of free speech, technology and intellectual property litigation, advocacy and litigation strategy, dispute resolution and sports.

ARTICLE 19 facilitates several campaigns on freedom of expression and information and also works to preserve freedom of expression through legal and policy work. These efforts include providing analyses of national laws, submitting expert opinions to courts, and shaping standards in new areas of international law.
