Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has explained that the legislation enforcement businesses should be stricter in curbing drug trafficking in the state as medication are driving youths in the direction of destruction.

He also pointed out that persons concerned in drug trafficking must be socially ostracized. 

The home minister was talking as the main visitor at a method organized at Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Cox’s Bazar Headquarter Teaching Ground on Wednesday.

Kamal mentioned: “The improvement of the state will be hampered if those people concerned in prescription drugs are not eradicated. Thus, all those people associated in drug trafficking need to be brought less than the purview of the  law.”

“We have to gain versus drugs in the similar way we have won towards terrorism and militancy. If not, the development of the country will be hampered,” he stated.

At the function, prescription drugs really worth Tk535 crore, recovered at distinctive situations by the BGB in Cox’s Bazar, were being destroyed. 

In the last two years, 17,775,625 pieces of yaba tablets, 5,699 bottles of liquor, 33,555 cans of beer, 1,638 litres of distilled liquor, 15.732 kg of cannabis, 18,650 strips of sedil tablets, and 5,000 strips of tableton have been seized throughout the raid. All of them were being wrecked at the celebration.

Benazir Ahmed, inspector typical of police, Mostafa Kamal Uddin, senior secretary, Department of General public Security, Ministry of Residence Affairs and Brigadier Basic Md Sajedur Rahman, commander, BGB Cox’s Bazar region, were also present at the party.
